Morton College Library and Hawthorne Museum Director, Jennifer Butler, together with John Geiger, Reference Librarian and Museum Archivist, and Rosalie Guerrero, Reference Librarian visited WCEV’s studio to speak with Mosaic host, Lucyna Migala about the history and legacy of the Hawthorne Works. The Hawthorne Museum collects artifacts from Western Electric’s manufacturing complex, the Hawthorne Works, which was in operation in Cicero, Illinois from 1903 – 1986. The Hawthorne Works Museum is housed in Morton College. WCEV radio, 1450 AM, serves Cicero and the surrounding suburbs. The station is Chicagoland’s Ethnic News Voice and features programs in various languages serving the ethnically diverse populations in its broadcast area. Tune into to WCEV’s Mosaic program to hear Lucyna’s Mignala’s feature on the Hawthorne Museum on Friday, November 12th at 9:05 p.m.; Sunday, November 14th at 2:30 p.m.; and Monday, November 15 at 9:05 p.m.
